Default overhead console

Greetings, everyone. First post on the forum!! [sm=smiley1.gif]
I have bled Ford Blue all my life and have always had hot rod pickups, but I am just now getting around to buying my first pony.

I am looking for an aftermarket overhead console. I wish FoMoCo would have made one, because if I had a beef (which I don't), it would be that there are not enough nooks and crannies for my "stuff." Ebay comes up with bupkus and googling it isn't helping, either. I would love a clue! Thanks, y'all!!

Why not have a custom center console built instead of an overhead one?

I have thought of that. I'm just looking into options.

I like the usability of an overhead because it adds so much more space, no matter how trick a custom center job may turn out. Plus, it would be harder to invite someone over from the passenger seat for a visit![sm=smiley15.gif]

Can I just ask why you would want a overhead console? What would you want to put on it. I'm just wondering because a overhead console is not very sporty.

Thanks, Tattoo. I'll be hoping you remember and let me know.

blue, I want an overhead console in order to save space down in the cockpit. The ergonomics of our stangs are great, but I wish there were a few more holes in the dash or crannies in the center console where I could chunk my junk - cell phone, gas cards, receipts, sunglasses, crack pipe - did I say that??, gum, pens, cologne, automatic wash card, etc. etc. etc. I gots me some thangs, and I ain't driving no Taurus or minivan for storage......

And if done properly with color coordination, an overhead console could be pretty sporty-looking I'd think. Now I'm not talking about some bulky, hang down, stanky lookin' piece of junk. Something stylish in grey from the lip of the windshield to the cargo light, with a little tray and a drop down door or two. Clean. [sm=smiley20.gif]
