my shammy smells like fish
yeah, and its not the fish oil from when they shipped it because i have used the shammy like 47 times since i first got it...i put it in the container last time a little damper than i always do ( i guess) and last time i used it it smell't like fish its as old as christmas like 2 months do i need a new one or anything? how can i get rid of the smell? i dont really care about the smell if its not affecting performance, thanks guys
I've got a couple and they smell pretty bad too. You can wash them in a washing machine. I've done this a few times. It will help with the smell. U might wanna think about getting a large Waffle Weave to dry your car. Juztang has them on sale right now. The towel is 24x 36 inches. It will absorb about 10 times its weight in water. $9.50 each on sale for the next couple of days. They wont hurt your paint.Check them out at obsessivedetail.com- site sponsor. Poorboys sale!
Step away from the chamois.
Buy some quality waffle weave towels.
A chamois has no where to "trap" particales andis more likely to scratch your car than a waffle weave drying towel.
After you wash the car, remove the nozzle from the hose and let the water fall onto the car and "sheet" the water away.
If you have a good coat of wax / sealant on your caryou will notice a difference in the amout of water left behind.
Twowafflle weave towelsshould do the trick.
Wash themby themselvesusing liquid detergent.
Dry on low heat with no fabric softner, or hang out to dry.
