Default bondo?

I have a dent in my rear fender...

What kind of prep work do I need to do to the fender before applying body filler?
Do I need to sand it down to the bare metal? Can I apply it to just the sanded paint?

u dont need to sand it down to the bone, just sand it enough where the bondo can grip. u will need to sand a large area of dint. not only the dint, but a little more as well.

1 more thing i forgot to mention, u will need to pull dint out with a pulley. then get started on sanding (or u can sand before pulling dint out) then apply bondo work.

With a dent like that, right on a body line, I'd have it done professionally. You'll have a tough time getting that body line perfect. JMO
