than the first 75 degree day of Spring.....and spending it in the driveway....washing, detailing and waxing your torch red Mustang GT......washing off all the winter crap.......getting that Armor All smell.....with a cooler full of ice cold beer....polishing your 18" wheels to a shine so bright you need sunglasses.......as several people drive by and do a double take because you know you've got one of the finestmachines ever made?

Really.........does it get any better than this??

how about when you're sitting in the driver's seat of one of the finest machines ever made that you need sunglasses to look at the wheels and taking off from a light with the pedal to the metal?

 

Ijust mentioned in another part of the forum that I spent theafternoon washing my Mustang, as well as my wife's Cavalier. My 4-year-old son likes to help out with the hosing.I let him helpwith the Cavalier,but I tell him that he can do the 'Stang when he's a little older...

Am I being too uptight? He's such a great kid, but the trouble is, the Cavalier takes a bit of a beating. It's received a few scratches from the hose, lots of waterspotting, and I've caught him shooting water up the exhaust. Occasionally, after I've wiped the car dry, he gives it a follow-up soaping....

So I figure I'll teach him on the POS Cavalier, and when he gets a better handle on things, he'll be ready for the Driveway Mustang Party.
