Can you take off the passenger side airbag cover? I've been thinking about painting my interior and want to paint the area around the speedometer, the passenger airbag area, and doors. Would it be a bad idea to paint the passenger side?

 

i painted the airbags inside mine and i didn't have any trouble. i didn't remove my passenger airbag (lack of time due to rain coming in) and i just painted around it using some construction paper inside the crack and some tape. it came out pretty well i believe.



i dont have a problem with painting the interior if there is a need for it. but the only problem ive had is that the vinyl paint is starting to peel in some places. so, is there something you can use (like a clear coating) to prevent this from happening?
