Okay I'm going to get my car painted this summer (it needs it extremely badly, scratches all over the roof, red oxidized paint, non-matching body panel colours... she's a mess) anyway needless to say by the end of the summer/fall she will be looking good, I just need to slap on some less-rusted doors I am getting next month then I'll get it into a paint shop asap after that. So here's my question... it's a 1985 Mustang GT, hatchback. What colour(s) do you guys and gals think would look good on it? Also do you think any designs/stripes/whatever out of vinyl would look good if so what colour combos and what type of pattern. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I was either thinking a black or red base but if it will look good I'm definately into suggestions, maybe even something different. Thanks for your help!

 

what color is the interior? you can never really go wrong with black. and im not really a big fan of stripes or anything on a fox, a clean black fox is a great looking car.

 

The interior is just the stock gray right now, but I'm putting new doors on it from a later model (I need to change the trim but other than they they'll fit) so I have no idea what those are. I'm tackling the interior last, as long as it's clean and works I'm not too concerned with it matching the exterior of the car now, I need to get a new headliner anyway so I'll probably redo the carpet and door liners while I'm at it over the winter....
