I Live in Southern California, about 45 miles north of Los Angeles in Thousand Oaks. I'm 15 and really considering buying a mustang thats only got primer on it. Does anyone here know of any places near me that can do an at least decent Paint Job (by that I mean no runs or orange peel) for cheap? Im talking like less than 2 or 300 bucks? Thanks for any answer.

 

200-300 dollars i highly doubt it, unless they are using spray paint cans. its going to be crappy if you have it done for that much let alone find someone to do it for that little. i live in CT and maaco i believe is atleast 3 times that amount and they do a crap job. if you are getting a nice mustang get it done right.

 

painting and cheap don't mix.. with that cheap of a paint job, I'm sure you're going to get no prep work.. and it's all in the prep work when painting a car.

 

Unless your willing to find someone to teach you or do it yourself, probably out of luck. What about those tech schools for automotive? Maybe check into them, since they might be looking for cars to instruct on. Just a thought.

 

Im only 19 my slef and received a free Mustang ii and well lets say cheap is not vocab im useing ..... But thank god my dad remoded his camero into a drag... but im doing alot of prep work... u can do the prep work your self.. but it takes time and time and did i mention time?.... color sanding ....wet sanding.... sanding sanding till ur finger fall off.. till you can rub ur 2 fingers over evry lil curve and all u feel is glass..

 

You can't buy the paint for 300 bucks. If I were you I would buy the stang if all the mechanical stuff was in check. I mean at least you will have some wheels to get around in. Then get you a job and save up so you can get a good paint job.
