When you have a nicer model like a 99-04 its worth putting money into the body. But when you have a 97 stang its ugly no matter what you do to it.
Excuse me. I don't happen to agree with you.

I actually like the pre99 models - especially the way the dual pipes come out under the bumper... doesnt look as nice (without the cutouts i mean) on the 99+'s, its a shame.

edit: i just looked at the link to your bumper's pics - sorry man, that sucks that the bottom peice is cracked like that - maybe you could just cut it off and shave the edges clean and make a new look that way, and there wouild be a place for the pipes to go

thats what happened to me! last december like the first week of when i had my car, i didnt even have my license yet, and i was driving with my mom and we stopped at wawa(convience store to those who havent experienced the Wawa) and when i came out, there was a 2-3 inch hole in my bumper......someone with a trailer hitch had backed into it and never left a note or anything..just drove away and we never found out who

since i had to get a new bumper, i figured id get dual exhaust and gt bumper..i totally disagree with people who talk about the v6's tryin to be gts..its not true, if i wanted to be a gt, i would get a gt emblem. but im tryin to make my car stand out of the crowd..isnt that what everyone is doing?
instead of a gt eblem, i purchased a HIGH PERFORMANCE eblem and put it on where the gt would go, and it looks really awesome..and its not too much either, it just shows that my car is different than any other v6 on the road

peace

Yeah theres nothing wrong with it at all, its not like ur putting a saleen bumper on it. And if you need a new bumper you might as well get what YOU WANT! and not worry about dumbass's who think their the **** and dont want your car to look better than theirs.

Yeah, i'm gonna have to disagree with this comment. Any year/model mustang can potentially look awesome.

As far as cars having body pieces of GTs or Cobras, I dont think it's tacky at all unless the piece has a Cobra or GT emblem\insignia on it. If you have a V6 with a Cobra Front bumper and hood, Saleen side Skirts, and a (99-04) GT rear bumper than I call it an upgrade. On the other hand if your mostly stock V6 is from 95 where the GT rear bumper says "Mustang GT" than you're tacky. If your V6 can keep up (in all specs and performance categories, and in all interior/exterior modifications) with a stock V8 (before it was modified), than I wont give you a hard time if you do a full bodykit conversion (in order to sport a GT badge, everything in the the interior and exterior must be upgraded to atleast GT specs).
