Default Little Chip In Windshield

I was pasing a dump truck on the highway the other day and a rock flew out the back of it and hit my windshield. All it did was put a little chip in the glass. It's not cracked. It's about the size of a rain drop from a light rain. Drives me nuts though. Is there anything I can do for it, or would I be better of claiming it through insurance?

take it to a glass shop and they will fix it for you and bill your insurance.

FYI ....... I drive an 18 wheeler and if you can get the trucking company name and number from the truck, they are liable for damages. Most glass shops can repair a chipped windshield. I think its about $50 depending on where you live

Yeah glass shops or even a body shop would be able to set you up, chances are it wont come out like it was new again. But it will be alot less noticeable and less prone to turning into a crack

Thanks for all the advice guys. Yea...I'm just worried about it turning into a crack. With winter comming up, that could get bad.
