yes the car is under warranty, i've only had it for a month. But it does run reliably and sounds mean unfortunately the car looks like a fairy with those little spots on it now lol. Ill try to attack more of it when I get home from work before I head to class. Thanks for the help

EDIT: Should I try a stronger cutting pad?

NEVER MIND THE CLAY BAR!!! Get yourself the 3M compound. There are a few of them, but the one I am talking about is about $75.00. It will work and you will have to use a lot of muscle and
Remember take your time with it. Slow and steady wins the race

is that any more abrassive than poor boys ssr2.5? this is definitely paint. My friend's dad is the sergeant of the verazanno bridge so im going to file a report and bring it to a detailer and let them pay the bill. If they are not willing to do it then I am willing to try ANYTHING

Poorboys SSR3 is the next and most abrassive in the Poorboys lineup. Optimum Compound is a little stronger than the SSR2.5 and their Hyper Compound is the most aggressive.

It sounds like you might need a more aggressive claybar. Find a local auto body supply store and try to find a more aggressive bar. This will most likely leave some marring behind. Then you can use the polishes you have to remove the marring.

Justin, could you just lighten the amount of lube (minimal amount of lube so it doesn't stick or grab) and rub a bit harder?

I used a light amount of pressure with my crazy glue incedent, it helped remove a majority of the high point in the spot, most of the time it took it right off - but the crazy glue etched the clear a fair amount until I took the buffer to it. Was I playing with fire or was it a cheap solution?

You want to use plenty of lube when you are claying, the claybar shouldn't catch or grab at all. I try not to apply any pressure at all and just let the claybar glide over the surface until it finally removes the contaminants.

I think since you start working on the glue right after it happened helped out a lot. If it would have completely cured it would have been so much harder to get off.
