I've done some searching, and either found nothing or so many posts I got dizzy, so if this is out there, sorry, maybe just point me in the right direction...

I'm thinking about some different bumper covers for my '04 GT. I haven't seen anything in the aftermarket that I like, but I'm sure I haven't seen it all.

First, I like the looks of the 99-02 (maybe wrong on the years here, sorry) Cobra front bumper, but read somewhere that it wouldn't mate up right with an '04 hood. I can't see anything that looks different, but is there?

Next, I really like the look of the 03/04 Cobra rear bumper, but obviously don't want one that says "COBRA". Is there any aftermarket company that makes something close that doesn't say anything? If not I might just have to find one, and do some body work to remove the "COBRA"...

The only other body mods I would like to do are a Stalker ram air hood, and either remove the rear spoiler or get a 03/04 Cobra spoiler. I really don't want a Cobra clone or to be thought of as a wannabe. They just look so damn good! Are there any spoilers that look something like the low spoiler of the Cobra?

 

The '99 and '01 Cobra bumpers will bolt right up on the front of your '04, with no problems in relation to hood, fenders or anything else. As far as the rear, my best advice is to get a good body person to fill in the "Cobra" on the rear and paint it. Installation is very easy, it took me and my body man about 30-45 minutes to each one of mine. Hope this helps

 

Why dont you just get the stalker body kit, it looks awesome, and you can put it on any mustang, since it says stalker instead of (cobra mustang) etc. It would look alot beter than a cobra bumper that doesnt say anything on it, I'd do it If I had the money.... Oh yeah and the saleen spoiler looks AWESOME!! Im savin up for it right now!

 

I'll look into the Saleen spoiler. It seems like it's similar to the Cobra spoiler.

I'm not real crazy about the Stalker kit, however I love that hood. The sides don't look too bad, but the rear just doesn't fit somehow, and the front sticks out to far for me. I'd be scraping it on everything... and even if I did get the Stalker kit, the "STALKER" in the rear bumper would have to go. I really don't care for the "MUSTANG" in my GT's bumper...

picky picky, you should just go buy a cheap saleen replica body kit lol. It doesnt say anything on the bumpers. And if you dont like the "MUSTANG" in the back of your bumper maybe you shouldnt have gotten a mustang because thats the only place where it says mustang on it gotta represent...
