Question about claybar
I bought the mothers claybar kit and tried to use it in the middle of june.... Bad idea. I could have sworn i was tearing the crap out of my paint.
So after maybe 3 minutes i put it straight into a plastic baggy and i just now found it.....
Is it safe to try and use it again?

Does it still feel the same as it did when you bought it? Did you use enough lubricant when you were claying your car? The clay will grab at first when you start on a section and then get easier and easier and then it glide back n forth across the paint. Cut the clay into sections, that way if you drop it, you won't have to throw the whole thing away.
It should be safe as long as it's clean (no particles) or it will screw your stang up. Take the clay in your hand and knead it for a bit, ensure you have plenty of lub to it will glide on the paint. There's no such a thing as too much lub when using the bar.
Another main thing is when you stored it did u spray it with clay lube to keep it wet so it doesnt dry out? Sometimes when claying your paint it might even take a minute or 2 on one area. Took me that long on a customer's car at the rear bumper below the license plate.

to mix up clay lube all you need to do is take a couple of drops of car wash soap and dilute with water, you can use the same bottle your original clay lube came in.
this solution can double as a quick detailer too!
