Default need some help with light possible scratches

I got a few small scratches on my driverside fender. i dont think their under the paint, i think it is above it. ive tried 3m rubbing compound and it didnt help. i was told using 1060 house paint thinner would take the scratches off. what are your thoughts on this? will it eat threw my paint or since it is ment for house paint will it even effect my paint? Having a black car was no were near as easy as i thought it was going to be. thanks in advance

Don't use paint thinner. Take it to a pro and have them buff it out.
Paint thinner willdamage the clear coat.

If you can't feel the scratches with your fingernail they will come out. Most likely you will need to use a high speed polisher to correct the scratches. There is no need to use paint thinner on this, it wouldn't do any good.
