Hey, i was wondering if anybody knows if 99-04 mustang hoods will fit on a 96 model or if there is any way to modify it so it will? I am thinking about getting a new hood but i like a few of the 99-04 hoods better than the ones they make for 96.

 

not gonna happen without tons of modification. what hood is it that you are looking at? most places carry hoods that are very similar to one another for each body style.

 

i actually liked the stock hoods on the 99-04 or the cobra hoods but i have seen some of the ones that they make for both and i was just a little curious if theyd fit but i guess not so i guess i will just look for hoods that are made for the 94-98 models. Thanks for the info.

 

well they do make cobra replicas for the 94-98models as for the hood scoop hood you can always customize your hood plus im pretty sure there is one similar to it out there somewhere.

 

Here's a VIS Racing hood I put on my 1996. No prep from me other than a quick scuff with 320 grit, and a $239 ride through Maaco. I paid $299 for this hood.
