Default window scratch

after coming home from an scca event my father washed off the paint (shoe polish) off the windows where i had my class #. well he decided to use a scotch bright bad to get it off, now i have spider line scrathes in the side rear windows. i took to a detail shop and they buffed it but no luck. the scratches are not deep at all (cant feel them with my fingernail) so any idea what can fix this. thanks for the help.

A glass shop who fixes chipped windshields might be able to help. The wiper fell off its arm on my truck while I was busy for about 20 mins. Scratched the windshield really deep and they repaired it.

Anytime I've seen a windshield scratch or window scratches repaired I could always see the distortion where the repair was. I would see if any local auto glass shops do repairs and give it a shot. There are repair kits out there, but I wouldn't suggest it to a first timer on a car you really like...unless buying new glass isn't out of the equation if it fails.

true....not 100% but its cheaper than a replacement.

PS. next time at the track, buy some proper track marker......its like liquid chalk, can wipe it off with your hand
