i was considering buying the smoked vinayl covering for my tail lights on my mustang but is it street leagel

i think you can go down to 50% in texas. im in texas, too. i just ordered some honey comb tail light tints, like a trans am, i have yet to put them on because they're kind of big.

 

The honey comb tints look really nice, course trimming is needed. But the smoked tint are fine, I live in Va and we have alot more restrictions than any other state lol

 

uhm im n texas too, and wen i got my car ispected that told me i had to take my gts head light covers off bc they were illegal. but ive been pulled over by many a cop for lots of different reason and none of them sed anything about my head lights. not sure about the tail lights tho. might be a diff law for them

 

not sure of legality, but i've had 38% tail tints, and have had cops behind me and haven't been bothered. the main thing is that you can see the lights when they're on, or you're breaking.

here's what mine look like with 38% vinyl covers. as you can see, it's quite dark when they're not on, but when i've got my lights on, or a press the breaks, they look almost completely normal. same thing with the 3rd brakelight that i blacked out with vht nightshade.
