So if i dont have any quick detailer then a squirt bottle with car wash soap and water will work?

I actually did this on a friends car. I did a free job for them and couldn't bring myself to use my precious quick detailer for lube. It worked fine for me.

Be careful using a car wash or dawn as a clay lube, they can actually break down the claybar and it won't work like it is supposed to.

I just spent 2 hours claying my car yesterday and its smooth as hell!!!!! It even works on your exhaust pipe if you have stainlessJust use a seperate piece for that

I just did the claybar for the first time two weeks ago, and WOW!!! Last year I did a 3 step on my '85 GT vert and I THOUGHT the paint came out great. This year I did a clay, then the 3 step and man was I embarassed to call last years job a "detail" [8D]

Can this be used everywhere on the car? I have a very can it be used there to to try and bring back the deep black color? Or is there something better to use for the top?
