Default Wash -> Clay -> Wax ->???

So I bought all the Meguier's goodies, washed the car, clayed it and waxed it....now what? Next time it's dirty, do I:

1. Just wash and dry, or
2. Should I use quick detailer on it, and
3. How often do I need to wax it, should I use the clay again?

Thanks to all for your info, I'm learning a lot, and my fiancee thinks I'm having an affair with my car

I use justins waterless wash and spraywax weekly. I handwax ever 1-2 months. polish every 3-4 months. Clay every 5-6 months.

Each included the step before ofcourse.

i usually wash, then right before i dry the car, i spray it down with quick detailer, it will lubricate the drying towel on the surface and double as a wax booster.

With regards to claying:

Clay it when the car needs it. The way that you can tell is to run your hand over the car after you've washed it. If it feels gritty, you need to clay. That's the way I tell when my cars need to be clayed. I do it several times a year, because I get contaminants from the military base that I park by (jet fuel fallout from the fighter planes) as well as tree sap.

As for waxing, I do that every time I wash the car. It's force of habit, and the car always looks great when I'm done. I wash the car 2-3 times a month and give it a full wax every time.

I like the Meguiar's kit. The white clay is super easy to work with.
Very nice microfiber cloth included. Can't have enough of those!

Clayed both my cars this weekend. For the Mustang, I clayed, Obsessive Light Polish, Obsessive Wet Wax. For the Subaru, clay, Klasse All-In-One, Klasse Glaze. Surprisingly, my arms do not ache, but the top of my thighs are a little sore from all the squatting. Sort of ruined my nails. Thinking of adding another coat of Wet Wax to both.

Any suggesions for my wheels? The stang's are brand new and I don't want to polish. Give them a coat of the Klasse synthetic glaze?

Ruined your nails....get your BF to do it

So, after I washed the car, I used Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Detailer and it seems to work well.

Till now I've used the mothers chrome polish on my wheels (chrome), seems to work fine.

Also need some leather spray.
