Gel Coating????
I was looking through a friend of mines old car audio mags (I don't remember which one, but it was a few years old) and there was 96 Mustang Conv. that they had put a pretty nice system in. What really caught my eye was what they had done to the bezel around the radio and AC controls, as well as around the window switches. They called it gell coating, and it look really deep and thick compared to paint. Has anyone heard of this, and can the stuff to do it be bought at Autozone, or another car parts place or ordered online? Also if this is such a thing, how easy is it to do? My g/f's car is in desperate need of some interior enhancements, and it may be an option when my 05 comes in at the end of the month.
gel coating is using used on fiberglass and some polmers, it's common on boats to my knowledge it's usually lines the mold that the parts are going to be cast in so it's actually like parts of the piece instead of just a coating. I pretty sure we don't have it at autozone, try searching good ol google and see what turns up.
