Default help removing tint from tail lights

i recently bought a winter beater and the guy before me tinted the tail lights and i cant get it off. i tried heating it up with a hair drier and working at it with razor blades.. it wont come off and if it does i can just get a tiny piece at a time.. what can i use to get this off? it looks terrible..
