Default Convertible top small rip... replace? repair?

Hey, I'm thinking about purchasing a convertible mustang. The top has a small rip (at most, 8" long). It is glued right now, and doesn't look too noticeable.

I was wondering i you guys think I should repair, replace, or just leave alone the top. Also, Does anyone know the cost of these options?

Thanks.

and on a side note: if someone could run a carfax for me, can you PM me? I will send you 5$ paypal (all of the money I have online). Thanks... again.

i would think that an auto upholstry shop would be able to stitch it with a patch underneath.
