I have found that the mequires isnt too aggressive but for a first time claying I like to use Clay Magic it is blue in color and works pretty fast. A neat trick I learned was to get a foldover sandwich bag,not the zip top ones, and put your fingers inside and the lightly rub the paint finish w/ your finger tips. If there is any crude on your paint you will really be able to feel it. Try it first w/out the bag then with you will be surprised how you are able to feel the bumps.
