I have a black car and use the Tech wax 2.0 after claying and polishing and rarely see any streaks and if I do I know that after the first wash or quik detail spray the streak goes away. Not sure what your problem is but if you compound the car you will need to polish it again and then reapply the wax again. Like margarita said it will remove some clearcoat though it is clearcoat safe. Was the car waxed in the sun or was the paint hot when you waxed it? If so the streaking is the uneven absorption of the product and will fade in time and IMO on a silver stang no removal of the streaks is necessary (esp since you see it only in certain angles and varying degrees of light).....JMO but way too much work and potentially can make the paint worse with all the step your doing. JMO hope the problem is resolved....time and now that it is done the sun will get rid of the streaking. I would not use the rest of the tech wax 2.0 and buy another bottle or try something different. I have read that the old version of the tech wax did cause streaking and if you use too much product (which you did not as you stated). What is a small amt of product in your eyes?....a little really goes a long way!

Thanks for the great feedback mygt500!!! Thanks also for the info on the NXT 2.0. I will probably just wash weekly for a while and hope it fades. Maybe clay the area one more time as Margarita Girl suggested. I do live in S. Florida and only had a 2 1/2 hour window to wash/clay/wash/wax so the sun may have been a factor - or just bad technique since I had to rush... Also, I have found that waxing a silver car is very difficult as it is hard to see the wax on that color and can't really tell if application is even - I did not have this problem with my red and black cars.

I have attached a picture.

Thank you again for your kind assistance and consideration - great karma to you!!

not to hijack the thread, but i have a question. the key whole (metal piece you put the key into open) on my drivers passengers side door has a haze around it that also spread down the car door a little. I know its not the most clear explanation but its very hard to explain. Would anyone know how to get it off. the only reason i can think of this to happen is maybe the metal started to rust inside and rain water might be bring some off the corrosion down the door side and staining the clear. Ive clayed it, and tried paint cleaner but nothing has removed all of it, any ideas?
