Glass Scratch Removal
Hey everyone,
When I bought my mustang, the previous owner had a few scratches on the passenger window. I never got the reason behind them, but I noticed that he tried to clean them off.. WITH A SCOTCH PAD! Ugh. So, I tried rough-rubbing them out to no avail, and will have to go to the next step... which is what? I tried to take pics, but with the sun out, there was no good contrast. However, I could run my finger on the scratch and feel roughness, but my fingernail would not catch. It feels more like a scuff ontop of the window, more than anything else, but, again, I could not rub it out. So, I was wondering what I need to use to remove this?
Thanks!

When restoring a '65 Falcon I had a rear glass that was really scratched and I found what I needed at the Eastwood Co, it is called Cerium Oxide and you mix it w/ water to make a paste also you will need to buy the felt polishing pad they sell, I used a drill but I think a polisher is better. You can get a little better info from them though. Oh it did work for me and they are on the web, lots of restoration products.
