Avoid Brake Light Tint
I think it's advisable to avoid the film tint that sticks to the outside of the brake light. I tried it on my car some time ago and it looks like garbage: a bit wrinkled and full of air pockets. I used the so called precision cut top quality film and it still looks bad. It was not even the exact right size. I followed the direction to the letter making sure to carefully work all the air out as I was applying it; but as I mentioned, it still looks so bad.
I had some film tint on mine for a while, but I really could never get them to look how I wanted. I ended up with some Niteshades and Duplicolor clear and much better looking tails...I definitely recommend that method over film any day.
The product I used was from Rvinyl.com and was bought on Ebay. What a mistake that was!!! The product was as terrible as the seller; not even cut to the correct size and it seems awfully light even though I ordered the darkest they offered.
I ended up buying some professionally painted lights instead. I think it's the only way to go if you want good quality that will last.
