I think it's funny when you see the guys with V6's putting on GT or Cobra badges. I even saw one with a GTR badge. I can pick the fakesout pretty easily. They usually keep the V6 rear bumper orjust put on a cobra hood. Yeah even keeping the stock exhaust helps to pick them outtoo. I wouldn't put a cobra badge on since I have a 2v engine. It just doesn't seem right. Maybe if I dropped a 4v in I'd consider it.

I'm thinking of either putting a big windshield banner that says VTEC or Type R on the car....<IMG src=smileys/smiley17.gif border="0">

I would rather take all the emblems off instead of putting some fake ones on. But then again if I were to put a v-8 in a ranger then i'd probably put like a lightning badge on it.

I was at my local mall last weekend and just happen to park next to what i thought was a 02(year?) cobra. This guys went wayyy outta his way to make his GT into a Corba. There were a few things though that set me off that it was only a GT. I kindly left a lil note on his windshield and said " Hey man nice GT, Nice try, but no cobra <IMG src=smileys/smiley1.gif border="0">" Seems like only ricers are the ones that do that stuff.

This is no lie. A v-6 94 or 95 stang rolled up next to me looking to race (honestly, i'm too old for it, heh).Propped up behind the seats was a "roll bar" made of plumbing pipe. It was spray painted neon orange. Oh, and it was a "cobra" according the the badging and the big sticker on the windshield. Poor deluded kid.

I know a guy with an 85 SVO Turbo who took off all badges and only has a custom made bumper insert that says Turbo like porsche lettering. Pretty nifty, and informative, since that's mainly the end people see.
