the other day on i5 near los angeles i thought i saw a cobra. i wasn't sure, so i made sure to pass him, and i'm still not sure if it was a cobra he added to, or just a really nice GT rebadged.</P>


if it was a GT, he'd done the interior and everything from what I could see, but there were a few things that were off, espescially if it was a Cobra - including the bigass wing on the back and Black/Yellow paint.</P>


the part that really struck me was realizing the guy was at least 40 years older than me. either way, he left me guessing, cause it did sound damn nice, and if there wasn't a supercharger on it I'd be surprised. in the end, i didn't care if it was really a cobra or not, i think he'd done enough if it was a gt to add the svt and not drag the name down.</P>


if i puta 5.0L badgeoneither of my stangs though i'd deserve to get beat by a geo metro.</P>

i had a severe service 1992 schp car. i put a police intercepter badge on the trunk lid. i know that is only a crown vic option. so shoot me.

The other day a saw a V-sick stang with a GT badge on it, 15" wheels and cheap tires and a single *** looking exhaust--they think that the connosieurs can not tell the difference. </P>

 

omg. the floodgates have opened. see it all the time here. a lot of guys trying to pass off their stangs as a GT-R. WTF! one guy was trying to sell his GT-R calling it a limited edition. hah!they got too much rice on the brain. also, having a saleen or a roush (sp?) kit is cool just as long as you don't actually try to pass it off as one.

wow...and i thought the GT-R thing was local...ugh, so sad <IMG src=smileys/smiley19.gif border="0">. i think the only rebadging i would do is to put the new GT emblem on in place of my 5.0...i love those new badges.</P>

 

i do have to admit i first had tampared with the badges on my now gone yellow 98v6 with icw chrome rims and kuhmo ecsta supra tires when i was in tthe military and i took of all the badges but did not replace them. i just filled in the holes and had it painted over so i just made it so the car had no labels and i put a bodykit on it to make it smooth unique and unidentifiable. My plate said "HATE RICE".</P>


Now i have upgraded to an 04 cobra.</P>

 

I am a hater of changing badges, it bugs me sooooooooo much!!! It is a pet peeve of mine, I hate it when people try and be wanna-bes no matter what it is cars or other things. You should be proud of what you have. I had a 6 banger and was damm proud of it. I did work to her and increased her HP by quite a significant amnt but I was stioll proud that she was 6 and didnt try and pass her as a GT or Cobra, and I well could have cuz I was beating a bunch of GT's</P>

 

I feel like I am repeating myself but I am sorry if you guys had read this 3 other times in other forums I just like to contribute:</P>


Shoot I like to down grade my self in emblems. I mentioned in another post my V8 haves the V6 running ponies with the red white and blue flags so people that want to race think it is a v6 and my v6 haves the v6 emblems. If they made smaller straight 4 cylinders still with different emblems they would have that.</P>


I seen a guy with a GTR emblem on his mustang and I have also seen a car that had the cobra emblems above the GT emblems didn't even bother to take off the GT emblems. He was also the one who haves the hollowed out blower hood with stock no blower engine. And the side scoops missing...it shames me to call this guy aMustang owner I guess we can not control the population of mustang owners too bad we can just string out the idiots.</P>

 

Not only is it annoying when people go up in emblems but it's worse when they get beat by a ricer. Then we have to hear 4 banger yuppies brag how they crushed mustang cobras and gt's. Give it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stop giving us a bad name!!!!!!!!!!! </P>
