Headlight Problem
hi
so i have just finished searching for awhile on this one but did not find an answer that suited, although a tailightpost i read was somewhat helpful.
i just purchased a set of the black halo projector headlights. stupid me, i did not thoroughly inspect them after taking them out. instead i started using some silicone to close any gaps between the plastic and light housing. i also cut and modified the wires to install easier in my car. one of the halos on the left light is broken and looks stupid when hooked up.
i emailed the person back but i dont think i will be able to get a replacement since i cut and siliconed them already.
so can i separate the lens from the housing to fix the halo? i think i can put it back on even though it actually broke off but i dont know how to separate them, or if it will even work.
i saw some people put them in the oven and let the glue melt. but i dont know if that is a smart idea since i cant remove the LED and halo LED from the housing, and this could cause serious fire issues.
does anyone have any ideas of another way that would work so i am not out almost $200 for my stupidity.
thanks
