Default Help with water spots!

Woke up late, washed my Kona Blue GT. Started getting hot, and now it's covered with water spots. Really wanted to wax her before a big trip tomorrow.

What would you guys do? I could rewash her tonight and try to towel off quick, but will be hard to wax in the dark. Could just use Quik Detailer.

Can I use Quik Detailer after she cools down to remove the water spots, then wax her? Anyone try this?

Damn California hard water.

Try some straight vinegar and a MF towel. This will get them off, but it will also remove your wax. So if you planned on waxing it anyway then now is the time. The quick detailer will get them off also, but will take more time. Next time start early in the morning and get the car under cover to dry so it is out of the sun. Good luck.

Yeah bro, Quik Detailer is fine if you have water spots. Why waste the time to re-wash if you don't have to. Best thing to do in the future is avoid being in hot sun while washing, or wash it and then park in garage real fast and start drying it there.

Or, you can be like me and get a water softener and not have to worry about water spots.

I've never had a problem with washing my car in direct sunlight, I use a 70 dollar electric leaf blower I bought at Sear's, and right after washing I blast 80 percent of the water off the car, and than go back with a MF drying towel and QD to get whats left. The leaf blower is also great for getting water out of hard to dry places like wheels, mirrors, etc...
