ok my car was broken into on the passenger door (they didnt steal nothing tho) but they messed up the keyhole and around it, and i need help fixing it. I took it to 2 places to see how much it will cost to fix it and one place said 250 and other 350,that is alot to fix this small area around the keyhole.they even told me when they repaint it the paint wont look the same sence my paint is old on my car,,,so i was woundering if anyone of can help me give me some good idea on how to fix my door around the keyhole with bondo..i was even thinking of just covering the hole up..but i never did bondo or did anything like that will be my 1st time,,,so any info will be good

honestly, $300 to fix that doesnt seem to far off to me.

they have to remove the door panel to pull the lock cylinder out, beat out the door skin and tack weld/grind smooth the ripped areas of the skin.

then smooth it out with filler/primer and repaint then put the lock cylinder & door panel back on.

the paint isnt going to match 100% no matter waht right off the bat since your car is red. red is one of the harder colors to get an identical match with.

oh and if you are wanting to fix it yourself, what i explained the shop woudl do is what you would want to do.

you dont want to just bondo it becuase its just going to crack and fall off.
