I have been considering getting the pc 7424 from obsessive detail and I have a few questions.

1. what pads will I need to get?
2. will meguiars nxt wax and ultimate compound suffice till I get the funds for some obsessive detail wax?

I would just get one of my PC kits that already come with the backing plate and pads needed. Also, if you are going to kit a kit, the Meguiars/PC kit that I have is the way to go, the M105 and M205 polishes that come with it are just awesome!

If you are going to use the Ultimate Compound I would still finish off with at least Meg's M205. The Nxt will be fine to put on after polishing.
