Default What do you use for chrome wheels?

I was curious as to what you use to keep your chrome wheels looking shiny and keep them from pitting.

I recently acquired a set of chromies from my termette ('03 cobra), and I want to keep them looking good. They are a b*tch to keep clean.

Thanks

Detailing, just happens to be something im OCD about. As an entry level product, thats just off the shelf, i always use Mothers Chrome/Wheel Polish, it comes in a small red bottle, you can get it a Autozone or Oreillys. Another, is Meguiars Chrome wheel cleaner, at you local auto parts store, just coat the rims nicely, with it while washing you car, and spray it off. And lastly, for the best shine ive ever gotten, you can use a product called FW1 Racing Formula, its a chrome wheel cleaner/shiner. With FW1, you can even clean your whole car with it, cleans, polishes, and waxes, all in one. The only place ive found that you can buy it is RGSLABS.com. Give it a try. Hope this helps you.

I tend to only clean my wheels with the same car soap and water I wash the rest of the car with. Once or twice a month, I use some Meguiars #21 sealant on the wheels. You can use wax, but the sealant will normally last longer. The sealant helps the brake dust rinse off quickly, and then a little quick work with a microfiber, or a brush for the inner part of the wheel, and it's clean. I clean the wheels and car once a week.

I can also avoid the use of harsher chemicals using this approach. I've not had to need to polish at all using this approach.

Since April 05 I have polished waxed my rims 340ish times. I use Meguires or Mothers products. I have NEVER travelled more than 10-15 miles without wiping the road crude and brake dust off the rims. They have always looked purdy

Thanks for all the tips. I did have some Eagle One nano polish I used on them. I just want something that will help prevent any kind of pitting or corrosion.
