One more question. What kind of buffer should I look into buying?
Or should I just order this?

You could get the flex, but I recommend the Pc over the flex, especially if you're a starter. You'll be working with a much safer buffer. First master the Pc and then move on to the flex. Don't listen to anybody else about the flex being as safe as the Pc. The Pc and Adams polishes is more than enough power to polish your swirls. Hope this helps.

The Flex absolutely is as safe as the PC. You're not going to do any harm unless you throw the thing at the car. Do yourself a favor and if you wont miss the extra money, get the Flex. Everyone who graduates up to the Flex wishes they had just saved the money and went the direction of the Flex in the first place. If you can't justify it though, especially in this economy, the 7424xp is a fine machine. For me, he main benefit of the 7424 s that you can run a smaller backing plate and pads for tighter areas but you can also hand buff those areas. Other than that, the Flex is superior. Both are DAs which is why they're as safe as they are. Unlike a rotary that just spins, a DA also oscillates drastically reducing he risk of causing damage.

Bro, before you even try to fix your car, you need to learn how to wash it properly so you don't mess it right back up. You can have a car swirl free and screw it up in one washing.

Read this thread I just made, I did just because of your thread.

It's a copy from one of my threads on another car forum where I'm pretty much the detailing go to guy.
