Default Glass Scratch

Hey everyone, well so I was driving today in my mustang and I happened to look outside the driver side window and noticed there was a scratch against the glass. I'm not sure how exactly it got there I suppose it could have been a pebble of some sort or maybe for something else. Either way though I was wonder what would be the best way to go about removing the scratch. I know there is the old remedy using toothpaste but I rather not lol unless it works very well although it might only provide a temp fix I feel anyway. Also there are glass scratch remover that can be bought also. So, I;m not sure which is the best way to go about removing the scratch. Thanks a lot everyone

polishing the glass would be best. But polishing glass could cause distortion.
