So my 96' needs a repaint, bad. The previous owner dinged it up quite a bit, claimed no accidents but it had a cracked rear bumper and was painted 2 reds, rio red (my door jamb reads E8 paint code), and a darker version that ford also used in 1996. I'm looking everywhere but amd having a hard time finding a good, realistically priced, company that can supply this EXACT paint, not a look alike paint. If anyone can offer me any assistance or direction it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

 

That darker red is laser red, it took me a while to figure that out.

 

from what i have read, Rio Red (E8) is actually called Vermillion red and it is a tri coat (base, tint, clear), which is the reason it is so expensive. that is why people are telling you that they can get a "look-alike" for a reasonable price, and the exact color is going to be very expensive.
