Default Car covers with fresh paint???

I just had my cars rr quarter painted. Everything I have read basically says do not use a car cover with fresh paint. The body shop manager said that he baked it in an air tight booth and asked that I do use the cover.
He did ask that I bring it back to do the paint correction in a couple months (wet sand etc). So baking it cant completly cure the paint or he would have done the paint correction now??? The cover I have is from AM (the more expensive one). The body shop manager did say if the cover messes up the paint he would repaire it for free. Will this cover mess up the paint or not? The body shop manager insists that it won't harm the paint at all.
BTW they did an emaculant job. I even put a weak magnet up to it where the dent was and it stayed in place. If they just filled it with bondo the magnet wouldnt stick. The paint correction he was referring to was to remove the orange peel. No big deal. I was expecting that anyways.

honestly car covers are a bad idea completely, unless your car cover is 100% clean and your car is 100% clean it's going to swirl and mar your paint, not severely usually, not instantly, but over time it will degrade your paint, it's best to just let it get dirty.. and then when time allows to properly wash it / detail it etc
that's my 2c.

Thanks SON1C. I do live in NY with plenty of snow. I can get it into a heated garage once in a while but not permanently. I was just figuring on keeping the snow off of it the best I can and making sure the wax is in good condition. No wax on the fresh paint of course.

how often do you drive it?
snow doesn't really cause damage, salt and the other common chemicals are the enemy!
what wax are you using?

Other than the collision shop and back home. The last I drove it was on thanksgiving weekend. I had originally gotten the cover for the winter months. The wax that has worked best for me Mothers Carnauba Paste wax. I have tried other waxes as well but the Mothers seems to work best for me. I am not knocking any other brands. I'm just saying what has worked for me.

mothers is an excellent brand, their pure nuba is a great otc wax
if you're looking for a wax with stout durability, awesome looks, great price, pickup a tub of petes 53, however make sure you don't wax your trim, it will stain it
one coat (2 coats if you desire, some argue better coverage and slightly improved looks) will easily get you through the winter months I can't see mothers lasting past 3 months whereas petes can go strong for ~5

The caranuba seems to look better than synthetic wax but doesn't last very long. I seem to only get 4 to 6 weeks during the summer depending on the amount of rain we have had. I haven't completed a winter with it waxed and covered yet to be able to pass judgment. I wouldn't mind trying the Pete's 53.

thats the good chunk of my collection
however petes 53 is a hybrid wax, containing nuba and sealant (man made etc) polymers to boost durability while still maintaining a nuba look
from the sound of it, it'd be perfect for what you're looking for, but remember tape your trim or be very cautious around it
