i was waiting in the drive through and this car came across and scuffed my front
buffer. not real bad but the scuff is clearly visible.

can i buff this out or do i have to get a new bumper skin?

i could also paint this one though i would much rather just buff it out if i could.

any advice out there ???

 

If there's black showing (and it wasn't a black car) then you had paint scraped off. Otherwise, most of it will buff out. I was convinced I'd need a new bumper skin, but I got almost all of it out with a microfiber towel and Meguiar's Scratch-X, and what's left can probably be buffed out by a skilled detailer.

ETA: But before you even try Scratch-X, try something less abrasive. It might come up with a clay bar.

 

Well I would make his insurance pay to have it fixed if he had insurance that is. You will not need a new bumper skin not even sure if the front bumper has a skin its one big part. Any good auto body shop can get the scuff out and make it look like it never happened.

I had a lady back into my car when she pulled out of her drive way. Yes my car was parked and I was not even there somehow she hit a gotta have it green mustang. I bet she felt like a dumb ****. Anyhow moral of the story it left a dent the size of a cantaloupe. Her insurance paid for it mine told me I would have to get a whole new door skin. Such lies it was pulled out after heated and repainted its like it never happened. Bumper should be a lot easier to fix and if you could post pics that would help as they are worth 1000 words.




And now no more dent 6 months after the lady that clearly has to be color blind.
