Default Decals, is it something I can do myself?!

Hi There:

I have never done decals or tint in the past. This is actually the first car that I am thinking of putting some body panel decals such as stripes on hood and etc. Is this something that can be done on the driveway or should I take it somewhere to get it done? I am very handy and I have seen some videos about them but I just don't know how involve it could be!
Thanks for the advise.

It's not too difficult if you have a pretty keen eye and TAKE YOUR TIME.

Prep is the key. make sure the surface is pristine before you lay down the vinyl.

Be careful though, the results can be, well - drastic.

Thanks.
If you don't me asking, where did you get yours? I am looking for a place which can do custom color or design.

I did all of mine myself. Not a big deal, but like you said, I'm pretty handy with just about anything automotive.

I'll tell you what I did. I had somebody cut me some Shelby stripes for like $75 (or something like that), took em home with all the right intentions. Proceeded to screw em up and throw them in the trash.
I got smart and looked in the yellow pages and found a company that letters big rig trucks ya know like "BOB'S TRANSPORT". Spent a few minutes telling them what I wanted, they cut and installed it. Sold the car 2 years later and the stripes looked like they did when they were put on.
