need paint
The paint on my car is falling off, it even has a little spot with some rust growing now. I know the paint code, is for a 97 rio-red cobra. Is there a website or place where i can get that paint or something similar? I need to get that asap before the rust grows more.
I was planing on sanding down the old paint and the rusty part, put a base coat, then the color and a clear coat on top of it all.
Does anyone have any suggestions or tips?
Thaks and GOD Bless all!!!

Great! thanks alot sprostang! Jsut what i was looking for.
Now, can anyone correct me if i'm wrong? To what i understand, i should do it like this, taking in mind that my car has some spots with little rust on it and others don't.
1) wash area with soap and water
2) wipe it down with wax and grease remover
3)Since i'll be using primer, scuff the area with a red scotch brite pad
4)put primer, wait for one hour
5) and then sand with 600 grit sandpaper.
I don't get why you sand the primer down!
after i sand the primer down, step 5, do i spray it with the color coat? then put the clear coat?
Please anyone help!

Not a problem. Glad I could help. The process sounds about right. Sanding the primer makes a smoother surface. Just dont sand it off completely. A real quick sand is all you will need. That way the paint will stick better. You will need to spray the base coat first, then the clear. Levine also makes an all in one spray can, therefore the base and clear are already mixed together. I have used their product before and was very satisfied. The paint match was identical.
take into concideration that the paint match will NEVER be perfect.....it will always be a few shades off, from oxidation and weathering
but, a good match will put it within a few shades and the untrained eye will not be able to tell
also, if you have 6-7 hundred bucks to burn, you could get the entire car repainted at a maaco
