Default back pressure

I've got a stock 93 5.0 automatic, I've bought but not put in a new cone, mass air sensor, 70mm throttle body, egr spacer and underdrive pully's, I'm going to buy shorty headers, off road h-pipe, and 2 chamber flow masters, all 2 1/2 inch, but my buddies have been suggesting that I am not going to have enough backpressure, and I am going to lose on my low end... its this true? I hope not, but some advice would be great!

You don't want backpressure.

The kitten gets it now. The next "not enough backpressure" bullsh*t question I kill it's damned mother.
