Default BBK Vs Kooks

I have BBK long tube with a Cated X Pipe on a 2010 GT. I keep getting an engin check light and they have a too loud pop to them. What is the quality jump to Kooks. Are the Kooks worth the extra cash.

I have the Kooks on my 07 and the quality is top notch. The install was fairly easy, took me about 8 hours on my back in my driveway. The only help I had was at the end to get the mid pipe and axle back lined up correctly. I don't know if it would be worth the cost to swap from another LT though, the Kooks aren't cheap. What's the code the CEL is throwing? Supposedly if your tuner didn't turn off your rear 02's some high flow cat's will throw a code because they flow so much better than the stock cat's. Check with your tuner to see if they did turn off the rear 02's. If they didn't, ask them to turn them off to see if that gets rid of the CEL.

That's assuming that the car was tuned after the install....
