Steering Column Removal
Hi
I am totally confused by the shop manuals I have. They say to undo the bolts from the flex coupling but I don't even see it. Do I have to take the steering wheel off first and pull the column up or something? I feel stupid but I just don't want to break anything!
Thanks
Darcy

get a steering wheel puller and take the steering wheel off, once you get that off, theres two bolts that hold the column on, take those out, slide the column off, then you can just take the 3 blots out of the frame and take the steering box and everything off. It took me forever to figure out how to get that dang thing out [:'(]
Hi, I noticed your post on steering column removal. I'm changing the column on my 67 to a tilt, and wondered if you know how to get the steering shaft out of the steering box. I have the column housing out already, I just need to get the shaft out. Thanks, Dana
