Not enough fuel to engine
Greetings!
I was wondering what some of the symptoms of not getting enough fuel to the engine would be?? And what can cause this??
Would the cylinders have carbon build up faster or slower? Would the spark plugs we black?
Things of that nature would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks !

Have you run out of gas before? You will get things like rough running, hesitation, stalling, lack of power...plugs would probably be white. Black would be too much fuel. I would also think less carbon build up.
Do you have an issue in mind you are looking for?

black plugs is carbon deposits which could be attributed to excess blow-by (oil) in the cylinders. In some cases it can be caused by excess fuel but excess fuel is more brown than black.
Not enough fuel is a lean condition, the plugs are coated with a white film and could be almost melted on the ends from the excessive heat a lean condition causes.

good power through first gear then falls on its face right at 2nd gear shift....this indicates a properly working carb but poor fuel delivery due to low fuel volume from abad fuel pump or clogged fuel filter.
