Default Shaker 500 Replacement

Hi Folks. I have been asked to change the Shaker 500 head unit for a buddy here in London as the Radio does not tune on the UK stations. Firstly how do you remove the unit and secondly can an Alpine head unit be wired to the existing amps. If so what conection leads are required. The car is a new Mustang GT.

Default RE: Shaker 500 Replacement

Hie there. Have you tryed www.crutchfield.com here in the u.s. They sell the wireing kits; double din to single din adaptors. To myknowledge the alpine will adapt to the current car audio system. I have enclosed some diagrams on how to crack the dash and console to get to the stock head unit. Hope this helps. F.Y.I. You can get other ideas posting in the audio section of the forum.
