The last several weeks the pages here seem to load very very slow... when the page comes up that stupid CarsDirect banner shows for 5-7 seconds and THEN the thread loads in. Is this intentional?

For those of us that read read read on here daily... it becomes quite frustrating to have slow loading pages. Perhaps its due to an influx of web traffic for the holidays?

Surely I'm not the only one seeing this? All the other Mustang forums I visit have no issues at all.

Feedback anyone?

 

I did notice this at work today but its much faster here at home.

 

I think its the new advertisements at the right... CarsDirect is jacking me up. Everything is much slower than all the other mustang forums.

 

We are going to be trying a new advertising option shortly into the new year. If should help

I think its gotten worse. It only happens on individual thread pages, not the main forum pages. The page shell loads as normal, but the thread content is blank for 7-10 seconds, only displaying the sponsor logo CarsDirect at the right. Each thread looks like this below, then loads fully after almost 10 seconds.

 

agreed. I'm seeing very slow load times... which causes me to click and reclick (in firefox)... which is probably putting an exorbitant load on your web server. (sorry!) but its the only way I can get pages to load. You might want to "roll back" to whatever it was before the problem so you don't lose members...

 

OK, I just downloaded Firefox to test it and all pages here load perfectly when I use Firefox. The problem lies in how my IE loads the thread pages with sponsor links. What version IE are you guys using? My IE is version 7.0.5730.11

 

I agree very annoying, if I want to see advertisements I'll watch TV.
