hey yall ! how goes it?

i got a 91 lx 5.0 my friend who is a die hard chevy drag racer guy is tellin me to buy a nodular iron 3rd member giving my car posi traction

my mechanic is tellin me to screw that and let him rebuild my original 3rd member into a posi one..

i use this car for everday use but want to upgrade the horsepower and looks but not to drag form

which third member would be more fitting for everyday use ?
