Default MODs - Login/post problems - no help!

I have had problems posting for the last several weeks. I am a long-time member with over 600 posts. I am able to log in but when I try to post I get a message saying I am not logged in. This is inconsistent - i.e., I was just able to log in and post this. I read a post about this on the Issues board but no reply from mods.

Any help or feedback on this problem? Thanks to anyone for any help.

probably has something to do with your cookies and cache. Clear both and see if that helps

Matt,

Clearing my cookies and cache will affect other programs I use (and would seem to be temporary until the cookies and cache items are recreated... - any actual explanation for this? It happens on my home and work PCs - very frustrating. Thanks for your response and help.

using a 'cleaner' program (i use the one from here http://www.ccleaner.com/ ) shouldn't mess with any programs; that particular program is customizable so you can have it exclude the programs or files you don't want to mess with. that way, you can get rid of all the junk files without hurting your other programs.

also, (unless you are using it already) try firefox; i haven't had any problems with it yet when it comes to using the forums

I am the original poster on the other thread. I have 400+ posts which makes no difference. I am still experiencing problems with logging in as well. I am very disappointed that no action has been made to explain the problem or to fix it.

Maybe the administrators don't feel losing a few members is worth the effort?
