Default Pages load slow unless I double-click

Any idea why this seems to be happening again.

It's most noticeable on my laptop running IE9 on Windows 7.

I went through this three or four years ago, too.

Thanks for any light you can shed on this.

huh, i'm running firefox 5 and haven't had any problem lately... the only thing i could think of is to experiment with another browser to see if that speeds things up; i have noticed when i did use ie9 (by accident) pages on a number of sites ran slower than ff

Nah, noted it yesterday for a bit myself (Firefox 3.6.20). Just sits there and waits for the http postback from MF. I'm guessing waiting on mysql database call. Do it again after a second, then it'll work.

Seems to occur most often at overall peak times, guessing the mysql server in question is running more than a few databases for differing sites.

All good today though.

If the pages had always loaded that way, it would get really easy to blame MS (there's lots of other things I don't like about their stuff). But it's been an off and on thing, so it's hard to blame the software that as far as I know has been left unchanged.
