Default 2008 GT AT shift points

Hello all- sorry if I am in the wrong place with this post but here goes-
I have a 2008 GT and spend a lot of time in the Ozarks. Soon we will live there full time. My question is this- can I do anything to my GT that would change how it shifts? The problem is, while I love cruising all those Missouri Ozark back roads, it always seems I will inevitably find myself in a situation where the car is "lugging" and slow to shift down unless I really get into the pedal and force the downshift. Often I just leave OD off but I wonder if there was a program change that would still keep the car basically "stock" but maybe change operating perimeters- specifically RPMs/Shifting. THe car has a CAI (not sure which brand but it did not require a reprogram. The car also has Flowmaster Outlaw axle back resonator tubes in place of the mufflers. Any info is appreciated- I'm all ears!!!

Thanks-
Carp from Ks.

Default Shifts

I changed my Rear-End Gears, not sure if that'll answer your question or problem, but maybe something to look into.

Actually you are in the wrong section. This isn't for questions related to your car:

I will ask the mod in this section to move your thread to the S197 section.

Your "no tune required CAI" could be causing some of your issues. Many times that CAI ends up requiring a tune.

Since you want to change the shifting you will need a tune anyway -so go to one of the vendors and get a tune for your car that meets your needs. Most will work with you on preferred shifting and transmission tuning.
