Default My Project

I recently bought my first mustang. Its a 1968 200 ci Staight 6 w/ a 3 speed MT. This past summer i had driven a friend of mines 68 Camaro w/ a 327 and fell in love w/ the power. That prompted me to search for a classic car in need of a slight restoration.
Anyways to get to the point. The fact is that when i bought the car i had full intensions of converting the I6 engine to a V8. However i have heard many posts saying to stay away from such a venture. The car is in great shape and all it is really lacking is power. Im not looking for a drag car or anything. Just looking for a cruiser with a little extra kick that will keep up.

Default RE: My Project

there are forums devoted to the i6 motor www.inlinesix.com and www.fordsix.com pop in to my mind but i don't under stand why you wouldn't want to convert it to a v8 if your not planing on doning a restroation i would toss a 302 in there and have some fun.
